The Personality Change Consortium (PCC) is an international group of researchers committed to advancing our understanding of the sources, mechanisms, and consequences of personality change. The PCC originated with the insight that a comprehensive study of personality change will be too difficult and resource intensive for any single lab or individual researcher. Our goal is to share resources and develop collaborative projects amongst PCC members and other scholars in the field, inclusive of psychologists as well as experts in neighboring disciplines.
The PCC is organized into four work groups focused on the policy implications of personality change, the sources of personality change, the processes underlying personality change, and the methods for studying personality change. The first meeting of the PCC was funded by the European Association of Personality Psychology and held in Berlin in December, 2018. Members meet regularly to promote the science of personality change for public good.
